We were very touched by their kind words and compliments. It was lovely to be involved with such budding talent. A lucky omen that only became apparent at the end of the show, was that Damien's signature is the only one in another colour, green.  While everyone else signed in black. We figure that was because he is Irish. Juliet and Pete now have the table at their house. Their little boy boasts proudly that it is the rarest table in the world. Mmm maybe, if one, or some, of the idols hit ever the big time.

Originality is their Speciality

Stumped finding original and locally made Australian Hardwood Furniture that is going to last through all fashion trends?

Then take heart because Wildwood Designs' furniture is locally made and created with native hardwoods. It is displayed in showrooms at Gladesville and Stanmore.

Owner Peter Crutchfield says the original pieces separate them from other furniture retailers.  "You just don't see our pieces anywhere else," he said.

There are Australian hardwood dining tables, burl coffee tables, slab dining tables, jarrah buffets, hardwood mirrors and recycled telegraph pole lamps and stools.

Mr Crutchfield says the team at Wildwood Designs enjoys doing what nobody else is doing with native Australian timbers.

"And it shows in the amazing pieces we create," he said.

"We source our hardwood from all over Australia and we are very particular that the timber has been professionally kiln dried, before we make any furniture out of it."

Their Australian hardwood furniture is made from a broad range of timbers including jarrah, spotted gum, blackbutt and river red gum.

Wildwood Designs also offer a custom design service where a special projects manager will visit the house to measure and offer advice.

There is a large range of original wooden furniture designs including Australian hardwood dining tables, sideboards, low-line entertainment units, bookcases, coffee tables, bedroom furniture, art and mirrors. Alternatively customers can supply their own designs and measurements.
